"Informational, " "static," or "brochure" web sites are a great way for small businesses on a tight budget to get the word out to search engines and consumers. Typically, these sites are 5-10 pages and feature products or services and pricing, retail locations, maybe menu or coupon downloads and contact information. All web sites are informational — that is the whole point, after all — brochure sites simply lack complex bells and whistles such as shopping carts, search functions, online forms, message boards, member login areas and dynamic, database-driven content.
